Tribe of Doris welcomes you to the main event of the summer in the beautiful surrounds of Stanford Hall in Leicestershire. Come prepared for an unforgettable and enriching experience as this international and inclusive group hosts another incredibly popular yet intimate gathering, featuring a diverse range of arts workshops. Not so much a festival – more a living, breathing, dancing community, bringing people together to share joyful and empowering moments through culture.

This year Tribe of Doris is celebrating 25 years of music, culture and creativity. Some highly acclaimed teachers who’ve graced the fields with their inspiring and uplifting workshops will be back, as well as some new faces, as we celebrate the past and look to the future.

Come alone, with family or with friends – everyone has a place around the Tribe of Doris camp fire! From the moment you arrive, you will have the chance to take part in a wide variety of world-class workshops led by acclaimed teachers. Whether you want to refine a passion or discover a new one the workshops will open avenues to develop your interests or delve into new art forms. The programme includes dance, drum, song, poetry, art, yoga and music-making from around the world, ensuring you’ll never be a passive observer, but rather part of the beating heart that is the Doris community. However it’s okay just to watch!

The Saturday night showcase gives anyone who feels inspired a chance to celebrate and perform what you have learnt with new friends. At the Tribe of Doris Summer School you can also nourish your soul with yoga, meditation, alternative therapies, and sound healing, or simply enjoy delicious food from around the globe.

The Tribe of Doris Summer School runs from Wednesday 10th August until Sunday 14th August 2016. If you can’t come for all five days, weekend and day tickets will also be available. For those who want to get involved and get a discounted ticket, apply for a ‘working ticket’ on the website. Accommodation is under canvas or in Stanford Hall’s stately home itself, which makes it the perfect, all-weather summer getaway.
