Volunteering

4th August 2011

We have all the volunteers we need.

Thank you!

There is a great sense of achievement to be shared by all who take part in making Doris the wonderful experience that it is for so many people.

Our volunteers are an essential part of Tribe of Doris and the Intercultural Summer School and we wouldn’t be able to do it without them.

Volunteers are all asked to give us approximately 4 hours per day of their time in return for an entrance ticket worth £220. Please note that most volunteers are not feed during the event, but you are provided with a communal area with some basic cooking facilities.

All volunteers this year will be asked to arrive on Sunday 7th August afternoon so that they can attend the volunteer meeting that evening followed by their individual team briefing.*

*Please note different terms for site and kitchen crew due to full-time hours required. Details below.

We need to know that all our volunteers are committed to coming and will not drop out before or during the event. Therefore if you are offered a position you will be asked for a security deposit of £75 that we will bank. Once the deposit has been received your position will be confirmed and you will be issued with your ticket. £50 of the deposit will be returned to you at the end of the event provided you have turned up and completed all your shifts – £25 will be retained by Doris as an administration fee.

Please ensure that you can commit as your deposit will not be returned if you change your mind before the event or leave the event early.

Please note that you must be 18 or over to apply for a volunteer role at Doris and it is your responsibility to ensure that you are able to fulfill the needs of role.
