Mud Pie Explorers with Nickie Core

Little Explorers, Dragon Rescue Mission – Kids

Level – Kids
Notes – Bring your wellies and rain coats in case of wet weather

At ‘Base Camp’ we make swords, bows and arrows and camouflage ourselves before going to find a dragon that has got lost in the woods. We will look for tracks and other signs of the dragon on our rescue mission. There will be singing and lots of fun.
The workshop is child led so we never really know how it will end! There will be the opportunity to use a dragon sneeze (fire steel) to light a fire and use dragon breath to make the fire bigger. There will be shared cooking of snacks and lots of lovely open ended creative resources for treasure making, shelter building, natural crafts and also our popular Mud Kitchen area just in case the dragon is peckish!
As we are using fire please ensure children are not wearing fancy dress while attending this workshop. Please ensure they have a drink with them please.

Free flow natural crafts with fire lighting and tool use.

Explorers Free Flow Forest School

We will be providing a free flow experience of outdoor adventure and creativity. There will be lots of open ended resources to allow people to choose their own creative project. There will be suggested activities for those who prefer to be led.

There will also be the opportunity to be try out a bit of sword making, bow making and we may even want to build our own teepee village. Others may prefer to make friendship bracelets, elder beads and wood cookie jewellery.

In addition there will be access to the Mud Kitchen area, mud and charcoal art area and a chill out space with books. There will be the opportunity to do some fire lighting practice and whittle funky designs on your own staff.

As we are using fire please ensure children are not wearing fancy dress while attending this workshop. Please ensure they have a drink with them please.
