The first part of the workshop is an introduction to Yin yoga. We follow 3 principles: coming into the pose to a depth that is appropriate for you; resolving to remain still; holding the pose for time. The pace is slow.
The second part of the workshop is a Yang practice. This is more active, fiery and energising with a sequence to take home. We’ll end with pranayama (the formal practice of controlling the breath, which is the source of our prana, or vital life force) and relaxation; leaving mind, body and spirit refreshed and replenished. Everyone is welcome.
Heather’s passion for yoga has been nourished by inspiring teachers, yogis who lead by example – yoga is a practice for life! A first love of Ashtanga yoga has been mellowed by Hatha and vinyasa flow styles, rooted in mindfulness and a focus on the breath and Pranayama.
