At the family forest school sessions you will have the chance to follow your interests and spend some quality time together as a family. Through stories, songs and creative activities, we will explore the woods, learn about bugs, try creative arts and light a campfire for marshmallows and hot chocolate.
Join us in the woods for a taste of forest school for all the family!

Emily Crofton Forest school leader and creative arts practitioner.
Emily is wild about the outdoors! She adores being outside in all weather (even the rain) exploring the wonders of nature. Emily runs Muddy Boots, a forest school and allotment playgroup in Leicester.
Muddy Boots believes that all children need to spend as much time as possible being free and creative in the outdoors.
Our lives are increasingly spend indoors looking at screens and we miss out on so much adventure and excitement that is happening outside our front door!
So much can be gained by learning about the changing seasons, the wildlife in your garden, the bugs that live in your local park and how your food grows.
Get your hands in the dirt, feel the breeze in your hair, experience the feeling of rain on your skin and breathe in the wonderful wild world.
Muddy Boots creates outdoor experiences for all ages that explores the natural environment, encourages creative play and teaches in a really hands on way about the wonders of nature.
