Tribe of Doris has initiated a South West Diverse Artists Network, where we can share experiences & create an action plan for improving diverse representation in mainstream arts. It is co-funded by the Arts Council & Platforma.
The need for this network was identified through consultation with artists from diverse backgrounds and those who are passionate about a particular cultural artform. This is the second DAN meeting of the two, we have had a great deal of positive feedback from the first meeting and we identified an real need for these types of meetings to take place. It will surely be a vibrant, fun and colourful day and you will be fed a delicious vegetarian lunch.
We aim to facilitate empowering dialogue within the culturally diverse arts sector to improve representation in mainstream arts provision, bringing funders, venues, festivals, promoters and artists together over the two meetings.
