Celebrate Diversity!

Celebrate Diversity Poster - flyer

This day is about YOU and the stories, songs and games that are important to you in your culture as well as about everyone learning from each other and adding new traditions to our collective community. This will be a family friendly day, encouraging inter-generational and intercultural sharing. See our Facebook Event Page for updated info
The first part of the day is FREE (1-6pm), with a great program bringing as many cultures together to share stories, songs and games.
Outdoors we will have a storytelling tent and art activities as well as games provided by St Paul’s Adventure Playground.  Indoors there will be lots of indoor games and food on sale all day.
There will be story telling workshops to bring out the storyteller in those that want just a little encouragement or the platform to share and tell their stories. Breathing Fire playback theatre group will be facilitating an interactive theatre workshop in which the audience gives a voice to their everyday stories.
Between 2 – 3:20 pm we will have a women’s only dance session so that ladies can really let their hair down featuring live Somalian drum and dance, Kurdish dance and the Malcolm X elders circle dance!
